Our practice uses a secure, HIPAA-compliant AI medical scribe to assist with documentation. It may process conversations during appointments or provider dictation afterward to prepare a draft clinical note. This helps your provider focus on you while reducing time spent typing.
Provider Oversight
The AI assists with documentation only. It does not make clinical decisions, diagnose conditions, or determine treatment plans. Your licensed provider exercises independent clinical judgment and reviews and edits each draft before adding the final note to your medical record.
Privacy and Security

Encryption and vendor safeguards: All processed data is encrypted. Our practice maintains a Business Associate Agreement with the AI vendor requiring HIPAA safeguards.
Substance use records: When 42 CFR Part 2 applies, the vendor must follow applicable protections and contractual restrictions on the use and disclosure of these records.
Audio handling: Audio is used only to prepare clinical documentation and is deleted immediately after note generation. It is not retained or used to train public AI models.

You may decline or withdraw consent at any time without penalty or changes to your care or insurance coverage. If you decline, your provider will document your visit manually.
If you create a patient portal or online account with us, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You agree to notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access or use of your account.
